Passion Project to make people smile

A venture into the world of greeting cards is something I've wanted to do for a long time. It started when I was a kid, cutting and sticking paper to make homemade Mother's Day or family birthday cards.

When working from home became the norm, I found myself with unexpected free time and a desire to make people laugh. The hours previously spent waiting for public transport transformed into hours researching e-commerce and Facebook advertising. In the months that followed, I designed some branding ideas, created a rough business plan and brainstormed potential greeting card puns.

In 2020, I took the leap to open my Etsy store, expanding to Instagram and Facebook shops, and quickly growing into setting up my own website via Shopify. All cards were professionally printed by various Dublin-based printers, and shipped globally. An assortment of illustrated designs were also sold in local giftshops and art fairs.

I eventually closed the shop in late 2021 when I moved to Edinburgh, but my designs can still be found on various drop-shipping sites like Redbubble.
